Ophidia – Brand Identity Project Brief

1. Project Overview
Ophidia is an exotic pet insurance service designed to protect the rare and wonderful creatures that people love. From slithering snakes to vibrant parrots and everything in between, Ophidia ensures that exotic pet owners have peace of mind.

The goal was to craft a distinctive, engaging, and approachable brand identity that not only instills trust but also reflects the unique, vibrant world of exotic pets.

2. Challenges
-Niche Market Appeal: Exotic pet owners are diverse, from seasoned reptile keepers to first-time exotic pet parents—Ophidia needed to connect with all of them.

-Building Trust: Insurance can feel complicated and intimidating, especially for exotic pets. The brand needed to simplify the messaging while reassuring customers.

-Balancing Professionalism with Playfulness: While credibility is key, the tone had to be fun, friendly, and accessible—a refreshing change from the often-dry insurance industry.

3. Touchpoints & Deliverables
-Brand Identity & Logo: A visually engaging and memorable identity that reflects the vibrancy of exotic pets.
-Tone of Voice: A playful yet informative style, making insurance feel friendly, easy, and even fun!
-Website & UI/UX Design: A seamless digital experience that’s easy to navigate, with fun, playful and interactive features which is engaging and informative.
-Advertisement Posters/Billboards: Eye-catchy, playful posters for tram and bus stops with bold brand colours.
-Packaging Design: Exotic pets' treat packagings categorised into three different types with modern aesthetic and playful brand language.

4. Results & Impact
-Engaging Brand Presence: The warm, fun tone can help Ophidia stand out in a traditionally serious industry.
-Higher Customer Interest: The approachable design and messaging will reduce hesitations around exotic pet insurance, increasing inquiries.
-Stronger Community Engagement: Billboard and posters advertising Ophidia's services will make a brand presence in the community and engage people with the brand.
